It is official, guys: David Harbour is becoming a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the extremely anticipated stand-alone Black Widow movie. After rumors swirled for months, the Stranger Issues actor confirmed his participation throughout a panel at San Diego Comedian-Con on July 20, as half of a bigger forged reveal. He’ll be taking up the position of Alexei the Crimson Guardian alongside Scarlett Johansson’s title character.

Following the thrilling announcement, many Stranger Issues followers had been fast to note the title similarity between Harbour’s new position and a beloved season three character — Alexei, the Slurpee-loving Russian scientist. Given how issues ended up for each Alexei and Harbour’s character Jim Hopper, we hope this MCU character has higher luck.
