Guinness World Record set for ‘most diamonds set in one ring’

Prince Bhandari, a Mumbai-based jeweller, has set a brand new Guinness World Document for the ‘Most Diamonds Set in One Ring’ in 2019.


Recreating the Lotus Temple in Delhi, in two-tone 18ct white and rose gold, the ring is studded with 7,777 items of spherical, brilliant-cut pure diamonds of EF color with VVS/VS readability, as licensed by IGI, Mumbai.

The ‘Lotus Temple Ring’ was conceptualised and designed by Bhandari, founding father of Lakshikaa Jewels. He mentioned casting it in diamonds required preserving the ratio of every lotus petal to be the identical, with “excellent angles and symmetry”.

The piece took 18 months to make, with a group of 12 artisans.

Bhandari mentioned: “Once I began designing the ring, the Guinness World Document was merely not on my thoughts. I needed to discover the great thing about structure in diamonds. Going ahead, I’m going to proceed to discover iconic landmarks, such because the Seven Wonders of the World, Antilla and Burj Khalifa and others, within the type of jewelry and fashions.”
